January 18th was our Third Annual Coyote Calling Contest; although we did get yet another round of frigid temperatures, the contest went off without a hitch. With a high of another freezing weekend, we managed to wrangle in some teams to compete in the cold. After all the entries were taken, the rules were read, and the teams took off to face the cold. A total of 46 coyotes were checked in, with the largest coyote weighing in at 36.8 pounds and the smallest weighing 11 pounds. Brad Kelly, Dallas McCarville and youth hunter Ray Warren ended the day with 8 dogs and came away as this years winners. We promoted predator control in a fun and competitive way, and we are very thankful for all those who participated. We are looking forward to next year's event and hoping the fourth try will be the charm for some nice weather!

You do not have to be a member to participate. Online entries and payments are accepted.
