Full or Part Time Ranch Assistant

Diversified ranch in North Central Nebraska, near Valentine, looking for a full or part time employee with Range Management or Animal Science experience. Must have 1-2 years of experience in agriculture or ranch work. Degree in Range Management or Animal Science, Mechanical Repair or related field preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license. The ideal candidate is a quick-learner, self-starter, and dedicated worker.

Smaller three bedroom house available for employee. Competitive wages dependent on experience. Non-smoking is preferred.

Job Duties Include:

• Moving and working cattle

• Calving

• Working with bison

• Fencing

• Harvesting meadow and alfalfa hay

• Operating tractors, feed truck, ATVs, and other equipment (cattle work is done without horses and dogs)

• Basic shop and mechanic experience

• Working in inclement weather conditions
