So often, when I am feeling perplexed by something that is challenging me in my work, I can't help but feel so thankful that I had my grandfathers lessons he taught me and still have my father's advice to help me find a reasonable solution to the challenge in front of me. I then realize how important one's legacy and their positive impact have on my life.

We all do it every single day, something we don't think about doing. It just happens spontaneously or naturally. Think about your legacy; you're writing it every day. Your legacy is so purposeful, and in life, we build our legacy, and it becomes an ongoing pattern of building into the lives of others.

"A legacy is not leaving something for people. It's leaving something in people."

~Peter Strople~

The life we live and create has an impact on the human race. Doesn'tDoesn't matter if you are famous, notorious, large, small, or average, you have an effect. Anything and everything you touch is your legacy. There are times when maybe we should pay more attention to understanding the impact we do have more clearly. Perhaps that understanding will make it more apparent that what you leave behind should be meaningful. If it is done well, a significant legacy will outlast your lifetime. Then, generations later, your life efforts, beliefs, creativity, insights, visions, values, and wisdom will positively contribute to those you have touched.

A winning legacy could be simply summed up as leaving the earth better than we found it. A legacy filled with integrity, compassion, humanity, generosity, honor, and open mindfulness. We are living an admirable life to make the world a better place.

Today might be a good day to stop and reflect on your life and the legacy you have created and pass on as a timeless part of yourself. Your generous gift to those you love and the lives you have touched, and the impact that will be left to the world and future generations.
